New Delhi. The results of the Delhi Assembly elections have brought a fourth major setback for the BJP in the last nine months. The saffron party has already received two shocks from Haryana and Maharashtra. After not getting the majority in Haryana, the BJP somehow crossed its destiny with the help of JJP. At the same time, its coalition led by Maharashtra won the election, but power deteriorated due to deteriorating mutual partnership.

Its ally, the Shiv Sena, broke away from the coalition and formed a government with the opposition parties. In December, the command of Jharkhand was also snatched away from the hands of the BJP. Within two months of this, the party has again suffered defeat in Delhi. This happened despite campaigning loudly. BJP's campaign was focused on Hindu nationalism. He tried to placate Delhiites through issues such as Article 370 and Citizenship Law, removed from Jammu and Kashmir.

Now preparing for Bihar

On one hand, he failed to assess the strength of BJP regional leader Hemant Soren in Jharkhand. was. On the other hand, his tactics against Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not work. However, his vote share has improved. It increased from 32.3 percent in 2015 to 38.43 percent this time. But this is much less than the 56.58 per cent share of the general election. The results indicate that the BJP may need to change the strategy in the upcoming two important assembly elections. Elections will be held in Bihar in November and West Bengal early next year.

AAP played local cards in Delhi

In its campaign, AAP had emphasized local issues instead of targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has got the benefit of this. BJP also did not give this election the form of Modi vs Kejriwal. Prime Minister Modi held only two rallies in the capital. However, the saffron party campaigned vigorously by other veteran leaders. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda held several rallies. He also held talks with small groups of people last month.
