Bhopal. A portion of the Footover Bridge (FOB) collapsed at the railway station on Thursday morning. Due to which about seven-eight people have been injured. The station was crowded at the time of the incident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The condition of one of the injured is stated to be critical.
Priyanka Dixit, Chief Public Relations Officer, West Central Railway, Jabalpur headquarters, said that the seriously injured person has been admitted to the Government Hamidia Hospital. He said the accident occurred at around 9 am when a part of the FOB ramp connecting Platform 2 and 3 collapsed.
Eight people standing on the ramp were injured in the accident. The injured are being treated at the private hospital Chirayu. Railway doctors are present in both the hospitals of Chirayu and Hamidia to help the injured. Public Relations Officer of Bhopal Railway Division IA Siddiqui said that Bhopal Railway Divisional Manager Udaya Borwankar has ordered a high-level investigation into the accident. Has collapsed Seven-eight people have been injured. No one has suffered any serious injuries nor has any casualty occurred. We will investigate the matter and action will be taken against those responsible for the incident. '
