New Delhi. ICICI Bank's single net profit more than doubled to Rs 4,146.46 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year. ICICI Bank made a net profit of Rs 1,604.91 crore in the same quarter of its last financial year.
In a report to BSE on Saturday, the bank said that its total income during the quarter increased by 17.23 percent to 23,638.26 crore from the previous. 20,163.25 crore in the same quarter of the financial year. The gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank declined to 5.95 per cent of total loans during the quarter under review, from 7.75 per cent in the same quarter a year ago. The bank's net interest margin during this period was 3.77 percent.
It was 3.64 percent in the previous quarter and 3.40 percent in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The bank's net NPA stood at 1.49 percent in the third quarter. It was 2.58 percent in the same quarter a year earlier. The provision of the bank (excluding tax) declined by 51 percent to 2,083 crore during the quarter. This was 4,244 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The gross NPA of the bank by value was 43,453.86 crore. In the same quarter of the previous financial year, it was 51,591.47 crore. Similarly, the bank's net NPA stood at 10,388.50 crore, which was 16,252.44 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
