Pithoragarh. Police have arrested an accused with 6 and a half kilos of charas near Tawaghat in Dharchula in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The police has registered a case under the NDPS Act against the accused and started investigation. Police said the accused Charas had been involved in trafficking for a long time, due to which police were keeping an eye on him. . Meanwhile, while taking action on Tawaghat Road, the police recovered 6 and a half kilos of charas from the accused Amar Singh. Police has registered a case under NDPS Act against Phila accused Amar. SP Preeti Priyadarshini told that the villager who was caught with a large consignment of charas had confidential information about involvement in smuggling of charas, due to which his activities were being monitored. Explain that under the joint direction of Police Officer Rajan Singh Rautela and Vimal Kumar Acharya, the police is running a campaign against drugs. At the same time, Superintendent of Police Preeti Priyadarshini has directed to intensify the campaign against drug addiction and take action on the elements involved in such activities.
