Mumbai. In Uddhav Thackeray government of Maha Vikas Aghadi of Maharashtra, there was a different view on reservation for Muslims in education. From NCP quota, the minister asked for a law for 5% reservation for Muslims in education soon. The Shiv Sena minister said that no decision has been taken in this regard yet.
State Minorities Development Minister Nawab Malik raised a question in the Legislative Council. Children will say, 5 per cent reservation in education to Muslims in Maharashtra. For this, the state government will make laws. Malik said that the High Court had recognized the 5 percent reservation given by the previous Aghadi government, so the government will enact a law to provide educational reservation to Muslim society. Chairman Ramraje Naik-Nimbalkar directed the government to take a decision in this regard at the earliest.
