He said in a bold tone that the BJP should now contest elections not on the face of PM Modi but on the basis of local issues in the states. Said that Congress is not going to get nationwide support during Rahul Gandhi, due to this, in 2024 elections also under the leadership of PM Modi NDA will form the government in the Dra. However, the BJP needs to consider changing the strategy in the state elections. Athawale said that the people of the country want Modi at the center, but also want a government to solve their problems in the states. For this reason, the BJP should fight the local issue and leader instead of PM Modi in the state elections.

He discussed the election results of states like Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan along with Delhi. He also said that in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, his Republican Party of India can also contest with the NDA or on its own. Along with this, Ramdas Athawale disagreed with the decision of the Supreme Court on the issue of reservation in the promotion and said that for this he is going to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. He said that Paswan is seeking to bring the bill in the session of Parliament which started from March 2 to repeal the decision of the Supreme Court.
