New Delhi. With the deployment of 10,000 security personnel before the Republic Day in Delhi, the Delhi Police is also taking help of face recognition systems and drones this time to take all round security measures. DCP (New Delhi Zone) Ish Singhal says that Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro will be the chief guest on the Republic Day parade and has made special security arrangements for the guests. Officials say that sharpshooters and snipers will be stationed at multi-storeyed buildings to monitor the parade route from Rajpath to Red Fort.

Hundreds under security arrangements, including at least 150 cameras in areas with red fort, Chandni Chowk and Yamuna Khadar CCTV cameras are also being installed. He said that there are four tier security arrangements. This arrangement will be done in the inner, middle, outer and border areas of the national capital. He said that 5000 to 6000 personnel will be deployed in New Delhi district along with 50 companies of paramilitary forces. Hotels, taxis and autos have also been asked to be vigilant. Patrolling has also been increased at various places. Security personnel have identified busy markets, railway stations, bus stands and other places, where additional police force is being arranged.

Delhi Police Headquarters said that "this time 48 Company Central Paramilitary Forces will be deployed on the occasion of Republic Day in the capital city. For this, written approval has also been received from the concerned departments, while 22 thousand soldiers of Delhi Police will be deployed during the Republic Day celebrations and before that i.e. from Saturday afternoon only. All the Special Commissioners (Law and Order), Joint Commissioners of the enclaves, DCPs of the districts have also been instructed by Delhi Police Headquarters to be very vigilant. The Commissioner of Police has explained to the top officials that if there is a lack of mutual cohesion, then it will not be deterred by using subversive forces. Alarm will start ringing as soon as the face of any suspect or terrorist comes. He said that the data of suspicious people have been put in this machine and based on that, facial recognition is done. He said that the machine sounded an alarm yesterday as a person suspected and was subsequently interrogated but later found out that he was not a suspect after which he was released.

After the parade, there will be strong security arrangements till the 'atholm' held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On the go, 'mobile-control-rooms' have also been created to help communication in emergencies. Intelligence call-signs of these special types of mobile control rooms have also been determined, which only Delhi Police will hear and understand in an emergency.

– Security in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu Kashmir Police I have deployed drones to keep an eye on the sky. In particular, surveillance is being done around the MA Stadium where the Republic Day celebrations are to be held. Police said that the newly formed Crisis Response Team (CRT) has also been deployed in the sensitive area. Surveillance is being carried out with drones in most areas of the city to monitor any suspicious activity.
