Surat. Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said in Surat today that due to Shaheenbagh, not only Delhi but the whole country is being infamous. Swamy, who came to the industry exhibition organized by the Chamber of Commerce organized in Surat, said that the ongoing protest in Shaheenbagh for the last 40 days is affecting Delhi's traffic.
The protesters should stop by building a tent in Tughlakabad ground . He said that India is an unbreakable country and legal action should be taken against those who talk of breaking it. Swamy reacted strongly to JNU student Sharjeel Imam's statement of separating Assam from India. He said that it is not surprising that even before this, there have been anti-national rhetoric in JNU. This is not the idea of JNU, but anti-country forces are getting it done. Swamy said that there is no such provision in the CAA, which would trouble any citizen of the country.
