Patna. In Bihar's capital Patna, last year, 27 officials of the state have been tightened in case of water logging due to heavy rains. These include IAS officer Amarendra Pratap Singh. At the same time, there is a plan to recommend action against the then Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, Anupam Kumar Suman. More than 40 people died due to flood-rains in many areas of the state including Patna.
The official of the city development department said that this action has been taken after the report of the committee formed after heavy water logging in Patna. CM Nitish Kumar has also approved this report. It was told that the officers accused in the case were grossly negligent in performing their duties, which led to the sinking of the city. 14 engineers responsible for the waterlogging have also been suspended. Now departmental action will be taken against him.
