Two freight trains collided in Singrauli, three stranded

Singrauli. Two coal freight trains of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) collided in the wee hours of Sunday. There is a possibility of a pilot and assistant loco pilot being buried in this accident. According to the information, a freight train was carrying coal in Rihand Nagar of Baidhan police station area. The other empty goods train was returning there.

Both goods trains were very fast. Due to which the next part was damaged after colliding with each other. The rescue workers are on their way to rescue those who were trapped inside the goods train. The CISF, SDM and the police have reached the spot on receiving information about the incident.

After the collision, a box full of goods train fell on the engine of the empty goods train. It is being told that there were two drivers in the engine. All three have not yet been removed. After emptying the coal from the bogie, two heavy cranes of NTPC are trying to lift the bogie. This is the first time such an accident has happened on this track.

This railway track is used only for freight trains carrying and transporting coal. There is a big negligence in how two freight trains were allowed on the same rail track.
